Callahan and Freeman is one of the leading auto parts makers in the San Francisco Bay area. We are a company that was founded back in 1925 by two mechanics working in a garage on Montgomery Street: Caleb Callahan and Justin Freeman. Although both were mechanics, one was also, in addition to being a Mechanical Master, a really fast-talking Salesman. That was Caleb Callahan. He was the one who went around knocking at the doors of all the automobile manufacturers in the San Francisco Bay Area, soliciting business. There were a surprising number of automakers in the San Francisco Bay Area in those days; although Henry Ford had already made Detroit the national center for auto manufacturing, it was not at that time the exclusive center of auto manufacturing as it later became. This website is the Callahan and Freeman, Inc. employees’ blog. It was established in 2010, and it accepts contributions from all employees.
